The objective of AAPG’s Global Events Oversight Committee (GEvO) is to ensure that the Association’s worldwide conferences and exhibitions meet the needs of the membership, the organization, the sponsors and exhibitors, and other professional geoscientists working in the petroleum exploration and production community.

Events of all sizes and with a huge range of technical scope are sponsored, co-sponsored, endorsed or organized by AAPG or one or more of its entities, i.e., regions, divisions, sections and/or affiliated societies. As the Association plans to continually expand its reach and activities into new markets and technologies, there is a need to closely coordinate the growing number of AAPG conferences and exhibitions around the world and to ensure that the Association meets its technical and financial goals.
